Borage is an annual herb that is loved very much by the bees.
It has star shaped blue flowers which are used in drinks, salads or crystalised as cake decorations. The young leaves can also be eaten and smell like cucumber.
A companion plant for strawberries and Tomatoes.
It is very easy to grow and can reach up to 80cm.
Sow from March - September into well prepared ground in an open sunny position.
Scatter the seed and rake in. Harvest the flowers when fully open and the leaves when young and tender.
